Meet some of the members of the Adelaide Place family who are dedicated to making you feel right at home:

Graham Bashford

Executive Director

A graduate of Sir Sandford Fleming College in Personal Care Work, Graham has extensive experience working in and managing retirement communities. He is the recipient of the President's Award for Executive Director of the Year for a North American chain of 450 retirement communities. A former resident of Lindsay, Graham moved back with his wife to raise their family here.

"As someone who has been serving seniors for over 15 years, I am overjoyed to be a part of the Adelaide Place Retirement Community. Our team has a true desire to provide residents and their families with a warm, comfortable setting to relax and enjoy retirement. As an individual who was raised in Lindsay, I consider myself blessed to be a part of Adelaide Place, and I look forward to enriching the lives of all those who call Adelaide Place home."

Adrienne West

Director of Community Relations

Adrienne brings over 12 years of operational experience to Adelaide Place. She has been presented with many opportunities over the course of her career and consistently rises to the occasion from implementing an incentive structure for a group of 1500 people, to managing recognition programs for 4000 people.

"Adelaide Place brings a unique option to the seniors in this area. Where else can you have someone take care of the meals, maintenance and cleaning while you enjoy endless social opportunities, great amenities, an extraordinary dining experience, and a heated indoor pool - just to name a few! For me, the opportunity to contribute so much in the community that I live in, that my children play in, and that I grew up in is simply amazing. Adelaide Place really is home, and I am honoured to be part of it!"

Testimonials

"We have worked with the team at Adelaide Place on various events, most recently the Elder Abuse Awareness Day. They are very caring and considerate of the needs of their future residents. They have proven themselves to be very community minded in their involvement with various fundraisers for non-profit organizations and their hard work with the United Way."

"The ambiance at Adelaide Place is very warm and the staff, welcoming to any who enter the building. We are proud that they belong to the Silver Connections network and refer them to those seeking a quality lifestyle whenever we can."

"Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes greatly appreciates the support and partnerships that Adelaide Place has already offered to our agency. A valued sponsor of the Care Walk held in August 2010, Adelaide Place will undoubtedly continue to be a valued colleague of our organization as we work together to serve seniors in the City of Kawartha Lakes. Best wishes to Adelaide Place!"

Mike Puffer, Marketing & Development Director
Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes

"Adelaide Place Retirement Community joined the Haliburton Kawartha Lakes Elder Abuse Prevention Network in September 2010 and has provided representation at our monthly meetings. The focus of the Network is elder abuse education and prevention. Adelaide Place immediately took on a leadership role highlighting Ontario Elder Abuse Awareness Day on October 19th, 2010 through the planning of a highly successful community awareness event at their facility. Adelaide Place has further demonstrated their commitment to elder abuse education by planning in-service workshops for staff scheduled for early 2011."

"We value their leadership, participation and community involvements and know that Adelaide Place will continue to be a valued member of our Network."
